Sending as membership@, president@ and other role inboxes

Send email as your organization's shared addresses, so replies land with the right volunteer.

Role inboxes

Most organizations have shared addresses that pass from volunteer to volunteer: membership@, president@, events@. Add them under Settings → Email → Role inboxes, one per line, like Membership, membership@yourorg.org.

  • Automatic email — renewals, receipts and welcomes — can go out as one of them (pick it under the list).
  • Each broadcast picks its own in Send as, so the newsletter can come from the president and the renewal drive from membership.

From the address itself, or named for it

Once your own sending domain is verified (further down the same page), email to members comes from the role address itself. Until then — or for an address on another domain, like a Gmail account — it's sent by Mybers, named for the role ("Your Org · Membership"), and replies go to the role address. That keeps it out of spam folders: no service can safely send as a domain it hasn't verified.
