Automatic emails

The welcome, renewal reminders, past-due and payment notices, receipts and event emails that send on their own.

Automatic emails

Some emails go out on their own when something happens: a new member joins, a renewal date is coming up, a card is declined. You set them up once and they keep working. Find them all under Outreach → Email → Automatic emails, apart from the emails and campaigns you send yourself.

What's on the page

  • Membership: the welcome email, renewal reminders (30, 14, 7 and 1 day before the renewal date) and the account invite.
  • Payments: payment failed, payment receipts, and the past due notice.
  • Events & Programs: registration confirmations, the event reminder, waitlist spots and program submission confirmations.

Each one says when it goes out and whether it's On. The welcome, renewal reminder and payment failed emails can be turned off. Receipts and confirmations always send, because members rely on them.

Changing the wording

Press Edit to change the subject or the text. Merge fields like {{first_name}} and {{renewal_date}} fill in for each member. An email you've changed shows Edited, and Reset to Default puts the original wording back.

The past due notice

The past due notice runs as a campaign, so you choose how many days after the renewal date it goes out and who gets it. Press Set Up, check the wording and timing, and turn it on. You can add a text or a Mynd call the same way.
