Mybers

Collecting Donations

Accept one-time or recurring donations alongside membership dues.

Donations

Beyond dues, Mybers can collect donations through your connected Stripe account. Open Website in the menu and turn on donations there — that adds a Donate page and a Support link to your public site. (There is no Donations tab under Settings; the toggle lives with the rest of your public-site options.) Donations also need a connected Stripe account — without one the Donate page stays hidden.

Donation options

  • One-time — a single gift in any amount, with optional suggested amounts.
  • Recurring — monthly giving that renews automatically.

Tracking and receipts

Donations appear under Payments tagged as donations so you can report on giving separately from dues. Donors receive an automatic receipt by email. Donations from existing members are linked to their record; gifts from non-members create a lightweight contact you can follow up with.

Year-end giving statements

Open Payments → Giving statements to see every donor's gifts for a calendar year (your organization's time zone) and email each donor their statement in one click. Each statement lists the date and amount of every gift, the total, and the line donors need for their taxes: “No goods or services were provided in exchange for these contributions.” Churches can tick one box to add “other than intangible religious benefits”. Add your legal name, EIN, tax status and who signs it under What the statement says.

  • Checks and cash — record them on the same page (Record a check or cash gift) and they appear on the donor's statement. No Mybers fee.
  • Refunds are left off; a partial refund counts only what was kept.
  • Households — turn on One statement per household to combine family members' gifts onto one statement for the household's primary member.
  • Sending — use Email me a sample first. Email statements only reaches donors who haven't had theirs, so it's safe to click again. In January, use Resend to everyone if you sent statements during the year.
  • Donors can open, print or save their statement as a PDF from the link in the email, or from Your giving on their account page.
  • Your books — Download all as CSV gives one row per gift.

Most organizations send statements by January 31. Ask your accountant about the exact wording for your organization.

Donation payouts go directly to your bank through Stripe, just like dues.
