People who arrive through forms, Eventbrite and Calendly
Form submissions, event attendees and bookings land as pending people for review, so nobody becomes a member by accident.
Pending first, member when you say so
Typeform, Google Forms, Jotform and SurveyMonkey submissions, Eventbrite attendees and Calendly invitees all arrive the same way: a person with a name, email and phone, marked pending. The Members page shows a "waiting for review" banner; open it, check them, and Approve the ones who should be members. Until then they get nothing a member gets: no portal, no member emails, no renewal reminders.
Each record carries a note saying where it came from ("Added from Typeform (form 123) on 2026-10-28"), so the reviewer knows what they are looking at. Someone already in Mybers keeps their status; the sync only updates their name and phone.
When to skip the review
If the source is already a decision, say a paid application form or a members-only event, open the tool's Settings tab and set new people to land as active members right away. Who does what:
- Associations and chambers keep the review: an interest form is a lead, not a member, and the board approves applications.
- Clubs and leagues running a paid Jotform or Typeform application switch to active, since payment was the approval.
- Nonprofits using Eventbrite for public events keep the review, so a ticket buyer is not mailed as a member.
- Anyone using Calendly for office hours keeps the review: a booking is a conversation, not a membership.
Connecting a form
After you install a forms tool, its page shows Your webhook URL with a Copy button and says where to paste it in that tool. Typeform signs each post with the secret you set on both sides; Google Forms sends a signature header from your Apps Script; Jotform and SurveyMonkey can't sign, so Mybers puts a token you make up into the URL itself, and refuses a post without it. Every submission then shows on the tool's Logs tab as created, updated, skipped (already in Mybers) or failed (no email in the answers), and the latest one sets the "last activity" time on Operations → Integrations.
Events
Eventbrite and Calendly also bring the events themselves in, published, so they show on your calendar; cancel one in Mybers if you'd rather not list it.
